Policies

Accreditation Policy

The event accreditation policy varies by event and will be discussed for all shows during the Front of House briefing.  For all shows, no front of house staff should enter the backstage areas unless directed to do so.

ADA Policy

The Saenger Theatre adheres to the American’s With Disabilities Act and will make every attempt to make a reasonable accommodation.

In the event of an emergency, a Saenger Theatre crowd manager would be personally responsible to ensure safe egress out of the building.

Alcohol policy

Florida law prohibits the sale of alcoholic beverages to a minor.  All patrons must be 21 years of age to purchase an alcoholic beverage

If the patron appears to be under 35, they must be asked for identification, however we reserve the right to request valid identification from anyone purchasing an alcoholic beverage

State Driver’s License, Passport, State issued ID card with photo, military ID with photo (expired licenses will not be accepted)

There is a limit of 2 alcoholic beverages per verified patron, however we reserve the right to limit service to one drink per guest.

Any patron who is found passing alcohol to a minor may be subject to ejection.

For patron safety, concession stands close after intermission or 30 minutes prior to the proposed concert end, however, we reserve the right to discontinue the sale of alcohol at any time.

Alcohol may not be taken outside of the venue and must be consumed prior to exiting, or disposed of.

Bag/Article Search Policy

Anyone entering the Saenger Theatre is subject to a reasonable search including but not limited to bag search, wands, and pat-downs.  This includes, but is not limited to bags, purses, coats and hats. Any bags larger than 14"x14"x6" are not permitted.

In the event that prohibited items are revealed during a search, the guest will be permitted to return to their vehicle with the item or the item will be confiscated or disposed of properly. The Saenger Theatre will not safeguard any personal belongings or items of any type.

Camera Policy

For all events at the Saenger Theatre, audio and video recording is prohibited.  In addition, professional cameras with detachable lenses are not permitted.

For some events, photography or recording of any kind, including cell phones is prohibited. 

Specific instructions, should they vary from the policy above will be posted on the entrance doors.

Catering Policy

Savor…Pensacola is the official caterer for the Saenger Theatre.  No outside food and beverage is allowed in the building.  Please contact Savor…Pensacola at 850-432-0800 X 238 for menus and pricing information.

Evacuation Policy

In case of an emergency evacuation, please use the nearest available exit and follow an usher's instructions.  All emergency exits are identified by an exit sign above the door.

Food and Beverage Policy

Outside food and beverages and not allowed inside the Saenger Theatre.  Patrons must dispose of the unauthorized items prior to entrance into the Saenger Theatre.  Guests with specific/special dietary needs due to medical conditions or religious requirements should contact the Saenger Theatre House Manager upon entry.

Late Seating Policy

Late Seating is determined by each performance and may not be possible for some performances.  If you arrive late, ushers will seat you at the earliest appropriate time as determined by the performance.  Out of respect for the performers and other audience members, you will be asked to wait in the lobby with an usher until the appropriate seating break.  Video monitors are located in the theatre lobbies for latecomers to use until the seating hold has been lifted.  

Physical Search of a Person

Prohibited Items Policy

The following items are prohibited in the Saenger Theatre:

Large bags, backpacks, waist packs, plastic bottles, cans, glass items, signs, weapons of any kind, projectiles, threatening jewelry or chains, laser pointers, noisemakers, flashlights, Illegal drugs or substances, balloons, parcels or packages or any items where the contents are not displayed, selfie sticks or poles, outside food or beverage, or items challenging public safety.

Patrons found with these items will be refused access to the venue until the items are removed from their possession.  There are no storage facilities at the Saenger Theatre.

If a patron is discovered with a prohibited item in the Saenger Theatre, they may be ejected from the venue.

Re-Entry Policy

All patrons are required to have their ticket scanned prior to leaving the building and then present their ticket to be scanned upon re-entry. 

If there is a no re-entry policy for the event, signage will be placed on the exits for notification.  If the patron chooses to exit the building during a no re-entry event, they will not be permitted back in the building.

Search Policy

All patrons and bags are subject to a security search at the Saenger Theatre.  Patrons with the following items inside may be ejected from the venue:

Large bags, backpacks, waist packs, plastic bottles, cans, glass items, signs, weapons of any kind, projectiles, threatening jewelry or chains, laser pointers, flashlights, umbrellas, noisemakers, balloons, parcels or packages or any items where the contents are not displayed, selfie sticks or poles, outside food or beverage, items challenging public safety.

Any bags larger than 14"x14"x6" are not permitted.

Security checks are event specific. Walk through metal detectors, hand held wand detectors, bag checks and pat downs (if requested by the event) may take place at the entrances of the facility prior to most shows. Similar to procedures used at the airport, all guests will walk through a security screening area prior to gaining access to most shows at the Saenger Theatre. The Saenger Theatre recommends that patrons should plan to arrive earlier than normal to allow for this enhanced security process.

Ticket Policy

Entrance to the Saenger Theatre is granted with a valid ticket issued from a Ticketmaster authorized outlet.

For most events at the Saenger Theatre, a child who is under the age of two is not required a ticket for admission if they sit on a ticketed adult’s lap.  There are events that require a ticket for all attendees or have age requirements to purchase a ticket.  Please contact the box office for more information.

Take care of your ticket as it cannot be replaced if lost, stolen, or destroyed and is valid only for event and seat printed on ticket.

This ticket is a revocable license to attend the event listed on the front of the ticket and is subject to the full terms found at www.ticketmaster.com.  Such license may be revoked without refund for noncompliance with terms. 

Unlawful sale or attempted sale is prohibited.  Tickets obtained from unauthorized sources could be an invalid, lost, stolen or counterfeit ticket, and if so are void.  It is encouraged to make your purchase through authorized outlets (Saenger Theatre Box Office, Ticketmaster.com, or charge by phone by calling 800-745-3000).

Complimentary tickets are not exchangeable or redeemable for any benefit offered to tickets with a dollar value.

Holder assumes all risks occurring before, during or after event, including injury by any cause and releases management, facility, league, participants, clubs, artists, their representatives and personnel, Ticketmaster and their respective affiliates and representatives from any claims.

Tobacco / Smoking Policy

Pursuant to Florida State Statute § 386.202, smoking is not permitted at the Saenger Theatre.

In addition, smokeless tobacco (chewing tobacco, oral tobacco, spitting tobacco, dip, chew and snuff) is not permitted inside the Saenger Theatre.

E-cigarettes (vapor cigarettes, e-cigs) are not permitted to be used inside the Saenger Theatre.

Patrons found violating the Saenger’s Tobacco/Smoking policy will be ejected from the venue without a refund.

The designated smoking area for the Saenger Theatre is outside the Intendencia Street entrance.
